A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against Sportsman’s Guide, LLC (“Defendant”), claiming that Defendant disclosed information pertaining to firearm purchases on its website to third parties without consent in violation of the Pennsylvania Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act, 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. § 5701, et seq. (“WESCA”) and the Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act, 18 Pa. Cons. Stat. § 6111(i) (“UFA”). The Court did not resolve the claims and defenses raised in this action. Nor has the Court determined that Defendant did anything wrong or that this matter should be certified as a class action except if the Settlement Agreement is fully approved by the Court.
